This morning while K was showering, Bea started to throw books into Samuel's crib. Sam and I just rolled with it and pretty soon both kids were in there having a grand time.
Bea put together two laundry baskets, declared herself a chick, and then pretended to hatch, cheeping enthusiastically. Love that girl.
Bea had been practicing her look of surprise! Here is the result.
Today Kelly spent some time with a friend and I spent some time with Bea and Sam. We went to the hardware store and purchased new doorknobs for our house and then our children helped me install them! Also: Samuel took his first steps today. Daddy was VERY proud.
Not taken today, but recently: we just bade farewell to a founding member of our team. :-( Godspeed Javier!
Today was our last day in building four. This is a photo I took of my bicycle on the last day I rode into that sacred institution. Next week, identical hallways of bland offices will look indifferently upon me as I roll up at an average hour in my mass-produced vehicle.
There was a black cardboard rectangle in a meeting room. I pondered its intended purpose every time I entered… It turns out it's a place to create mockups of the Windows 8 start screen using sticky notes.
This evening after dinner, Bea disappeared for a suspiciously long time. When she returned, she had not only removed her clothes by herself but also put on most of her pajamas by herself! We helped her finish the job and she was Extremely Proud. And Sam? Sam was holding a spoon in his mouth, which was, to him, Hilarious.
Photo by Kelly a few days ago. :)
Bea cuddled among our pillows, John reading to two partially attentive babies, Linda watching Sam and Bea cover themselves with sand. :)
