Bea now has another small bird for her collection: a chick that makes cheeping noises when held correctly. Its name is, appropriately, "Cheep Cheep."
I forgot to take a picture today, so here is one from a few days ago: Bea smelling the clover flowers we collected together.
Today was very hot, and after eating dinner we flopped on the bed next to the window fan and we all tried to cool down. No one got very cool, but there was a lot of giggling.
This evening, Bea declared that she was not feeling so well, so she put a blanket on a stack of pillows and curled up on it. Miraculously, she was feeling better in 12 seconds!
Our lawn is mostly clover, which is entirely my fault because I planted grass and then didn't take enough care of it. Bea doesn't care. Lately when I come home from work, she wants to go to the backyard, where we pretend to be Frog and Toad (her favorite literary characters). Frog (that's Daddy) picks clover flowers for Toad, who tells Frog what a good job he is doing and then puts the flowers into a bucket.
Sneak preview of this weekend's photos, from our stay in Oak Harbor; here is one taken with my cell phone. It is Frankie and Dan with Samuel! Like his sister, Sam loves Dan unquestioningly.
Kelly sent me this photo at work today. It made me very happy, so I'm sharing it with you.
Unbelievable… Our girl can play Memory! She doesn't really have the attention span for a whole game yet, but she understands the idea. Meeama came over today and they played a few demo rounds for Daddy when he came home from work. Very good, Bea!
Tonight, she wanted to play with the puzzle–but was too tired to do much besides throw the pieces all over her room.
The evening was warm.
