Now that newbie can hear us from his cozy little home, i have started reading him bedtime stories every night so that when he is born he will have become accustomed to my voice. Sometimes while i am reading he will move all around, and i like to think that this is because he is happy to hear his father talking.

Every year microsoft photographers put together a photo book for a fundraiser, and this year i finally got around to submitting a photo. I’m very proud to say that my photo made it into the book! Here it is, page 77: chester cathedral.

The pumpkin days of fall are upon us! Kelly made pumpkin bars (pictured here ready for dispersal to a few lucky co-workers) and soon after one of our favorite fall recipes: pumpkin stuffed with everything good.

Beatrice loves eating flatbread and hummus. Kelly referred to the former as “dipping bread”, from which beatrice formed “dippy bread.” it’s kind of amazing to watch her eat it–she dips the bread very delicately in the hummus, getting each bite evenly coated while (mostly) avoiding getting the bean-based deliciousness on her hands.
